Make sure you have space
Make sure your camera/device is in a stable place
Keep a reasonable distance from the camera — Your whole body should be visible, not just your head
Do not mute yourself or turn off the camera unless instructed to do so
BE ON TIME! — We will start without you and you will be marked as late
The following is not compulsory, but is suggested in order to make the process of learning from home easier:
Use headphones
This will reduce sound feedback when using online resources such as Zoom, Vimeo or Skype
Wireless headphones would be ideal so you can still engage with the class while remaining active at a distance from your camera/device
Get a camera stand
This is the most effective way in which you can keep your camera/device stable when engaging with an online training session
It is also a great investment if you plan to film training videos in your own time
You can find one to purchase by clicking below:
Make sure you recognise the area you're running in
Leave your navigation/location on, so people are aware of where you are
You must let a family member know when you are about to go on your run
If it is not safe or permitted to run in a particular area, you should use your road or any short distance (i.e. garden or hallway) to run back and forth
The recommended app to use is RUN METER:
This will help with tracking how long it takes you to get to 3km
It will require the use of very minimal data, however after doing the run once, you should be able to access how long it took you to do the 3km and then you can use a timer moving forward.
IMD is working hard to create an ecosystem for all its members, where they are able to go to one place to find all the necessary apps used by the crew.
Soon there will be a tab on all member’s log in pages, where you can get iOS or Android links that will take you straight to where you need to go to download whatever is needed.
